About Me

Dr. Nazrul Islam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Bangladesh, where he has been serving since 2014 and currently contributes to academic leadership as Deputy Director of the Students’ Welfare and Counseling Centre. He earned his PhD in Information Technology from Jahangirnagar University and holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunication Systems from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden. His research interests span machine learning, plasmonic and SPR biosensors, and communication networks, with a strong focus on applying intelligent computational techniques to sensing and biomedical applications. Dr. Islam has published extensively in high-impact international journals and IEEE conferences and is actively involved in funded research projects related to biosensor development and smart grid–IoT technologies and reflecting his engagement with both the global research community and national academic development.
